Nike Hyperdunk (Kobe)

April 9, 2008

Releasing in June, but Kobe will debut them April 10th against the Clippers.

I am so excited about these sneakers. I like these way better than the Zoom Kobe III, which I still have yet to cop my pair.

Going for $110, which is much more reasonable than the $140 price tag for the ZKIII.

Also check out the Olympic Hyperdunks with Kobe’s Olympic #10 on them.

Not as hott and the Laker colorway.

New pic from Kicksonfire.  Supposedly this is the lightest and strongest basketball shoe ever.

At only 13.0 ounces, the Nike Hyperdunk is 18 percent lighter than the average Nike basketball shoe. Kobe runs an average of 2.5 miles a game—less weight on his feet means more energy on the court. Kobe is expected to play in the Nike Hyperdunk when the Lakers meet the Clippers in April. The Hyperdunk hits US retail in late July.

“The Nike Hyperdunk is extremely lightweight, strong and responsive to give a real advantage on court,” said Kobe.

Looking forward to ballin in these.  Much more aesthetically pleasing than the ZKIII with the same performance it seems.

So if you followed most of my picks, you won some money. And I have to have ESP(N), b/c I told yall that Memphis would choke on the free throw line and blow the chip.

But I also wanted to comment on the need for a 3rd place game. Imagine if tipping off at 7:30 before the national championship game we would have had a match-up of UNC vs. UCLA? Kevin Love vs. Tyler Hansbrough? The ratings would have been insane and made the Final 4 weekend even better.

It’s not like there isn’t a precedent for a third place game. The NCAA actually held one from 1946 to 1981, when it disappeared for no reason. Everyone knows they are all about making money and exploiting the student-athlete. Why not extend the Final 4 weekend and make more money at the same time by keeping UNC and UCLA fans around one more day?

Polow Gets His Swizz Beatz On

April 9, 2008

Back in the day, Swizz got exposed for using a Casio keyboard for his beats on “Down Bottom” by Drag-on and the Eve song that escapes me at the moment.  Well, it seems as if Polow is following his lead for the new Usher hit single, “Love in this Club.”

I know I’m late for this…I saw this on Real Talk NY a while back but never bothered to click on it until tonight when my girl told me that I shouldn’t like the song b/c Polow jacked the beat from Mac’s Garage Band program.  Oh well…the song is still hott to me.

Oh yea, check out the remix to “Love in this Club” featuring TI here.

Air Jordan Fusion Force III

April 9, 2008

Another winner from the Fusion collection- the Air Jordan III (my favorite Jordan of all time) and the Nike Air Force 1, a closet staple for years (before Nelly made it popular).

Sneakerfiles got the goods…I just point you in the right direction.
