So if you followed most of my picks, you won some money. And I have to have ESP(N), b/c I told yall that Memphis would choke on the free throw line and blow the chip.

But I also wanted to comment on the need for a 3rd place game. Imagine if tipping off at 7:30 before the national championship game we would have had a match-up of UNC vs. UCLA? Kevin Love vs. Tyler Hansbrough? The ratings would have been insane and made the Final 4 weekend even better.

It’s not like there isn’t a precedent for a third place game. The NCAA actually held one from 1946 to 1981, when it disappeared for no reason. Everyone knows they are all about making money and exploiting the student-athlete. Why not extend the Final 4 weekend and make more money at the same time by keeping UNC and UCLA fans around one more day?
