I’ve been reading about OJ Mayo in SLAM magazine since he was in the seventh grade. That’s right, there was an article about him when he was in the seventh grade. I remember looking at the picture and wondering if he would ever pan out to be anything.
My sister recently graduated from Marshall University Medical School in Huntington, WV. During her time there when I visited, I was able to see OJ Mayo play live with his high school team during his senior year. He is an amazing talent, and if you know anything about Huntington, I prayed that he would make it out.
And he did. And if you think that any major college athlete doesn’t receive some type of benefits under the table, you are just as naive as the NCAA. And now you have this guy “snitching”, acting like a jilted lover b/c now that OJ is going to the league, he’s not going to get his slice of the pie. Sickening.
