Nas and the self-proclaimed GOAT grace the cover of the Source magazine’s 20th anniversary issue. I have nothing but respect for both of these men.
I remember back in 1997 while a freshman at UVA I had a hip-hop conversation with a dude a lil older than me. We were speaking on the greats, and he said that LL had to be up there, b/c of his longevity and that he had done a lot of the stuff that cats today were trying to do. How ill is it that I have had this very same conversation with cats 10 years later about Nas, and that LL is still relevant in today’s game?
In recent years, I haven’t really listened to an LL album, but I def respect what dude has done for the game. However, he just doesn’t seem to have it anymore. I always wonder who he is going to blame when this next album, Exit 13, doesn’t sell. I tried to listen to the mixtape with Kay Slay. I tried, but I couldn’t get through it. All the tough talk was too much for me. Uncle L, do what you do best and do it for the ladies. Like Canibus said, 99% of your fans wear high heels.

PS…dude has DEFINITELY had some work on his face. That’s not hiphop.
